My students need several items to have a successful and safe football season this year. Most of the items needed will ensure that our players stay safe, hydrated, and competitive!

My Students

My students come from a rural farming community in South Central Oklahoma. Most students I teach have parents that are working in the oil or farming industry. We have a high free and reduced lunch rate percentage which means most of our students are eating in the cafeteria every day.

We also have many students receiving backpack food to take home on the weekends to help supplement their meals while they are not in school.

Students are in grades 7-12 in our Jr. Sr. High School.

My Project

Our rural town really likes to come together on Friday nights and our football program is doing great things in their division and need a little help making sure our players are taken care of while competing. The items listed will help ensure they are protected during game time and be able to stay hydrated during practice and regular games. Our team has been putting in tireless hours during the spring and summer seasons to make sure they are ready this fall, and having the water coolers to keep water and Gatorade available to our players will ensure that they are staying hydrated and be able to perform to the best of their ability. The first aid kit and athletic tape will help help prevent injuries and quickly assess and maintain accidents that occur on the field. We are also in need of some new footballs to allow for more individual as well as group drills to take place and prepare us for our upcoming games.
