Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are amazing, intelligent, and creative individuals who love challenges and can't wait to offer the world the many talents they possess. However, the majority of my students are not offered many opportunities to excel beyond the confinements of our campus. Many of my students have not been exposed to many things outside of the neighborhood that houses the school. I want to be able to offer them a different world in my classroom that will encourage them to want to experience the world when they are on their own.

My Project

I have requested materials such as copy paper to print packets for my students that do not have access to virtual learning. I've also requested STAAR Flashcards for Social Studies so students can continue to learn valuable information regarding US History. We need interactive notebooks for a few students to be able to stay organized during homeschooling. I've requested multiple Social Studies books to pull instructional materials from to give to my students who need additional instruction beyond what we are providing for them. My students are eager and ready to learn during this new homeschool/virtual learning experience.
