My Students

I teach 62 amazing sixth grade students in rural Minnesota. My class is comprised of farmers, athletes, readers, mathematicians, gamers, scientists, naturalists, friends, and more!

The students who walk through my door each day know that they are in a warm and welcoming place where their lives, ideas, and conversations are important to me.

This is their classroom, and we are a solid team. Students participate in collaborative activities every day. I work hard to give them unique hands-on learning experiences. each day.

My Project

My students currently do not have access to a maker space or coding tools like an Ozobot. I would like to create a miniature maker space within my homeroom by purchasing an Ozobot starter kit that includes a tablet, and four wobbly stools.

Having a maker space included in my classroom will open the doors to technology integration within my language arts and social studies classroom.

The Ozobot will give the students the opportunity to program it to do what they want it to do. The wobbly stools will give them a comfortably productive space to collaborate on their Ozoprojects.
