Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 2nd and 3rd grade students from New York City in a special education class. They are hard-working, happy students. My students come from low-income families and need every advantage they can get. They face many challenges outside of school, but they work hard in school to succeed.
They have the smarts and the motivation to be the best; let's give them the materials.
I want to ensure my students have all the necessary tools to compete in our challenging world.
My Project
When my students return to school, I want them to have a fresh, relaxing, and clean room.
My room needs a makeover!
Help me refresh by bulletin boards with warm, homey looking bulletin board paper and a border that will pop. I want the kids to walk into the room and really feel at ease. I will also decorate with inspirational phrases. I want them to see positive messages in every corner of the room. And to top off that cozy, homey feel will be an infuser to make the room inviting and relaxing.
I want my students to know that they have a safe place and this new look will give them just that.
