My Project
Our children deserve it. Whatever it is, odds are that children deserve it, because children deserve almost everything. We as adults all know we can't always get what we want, but at the very least we can try to give children everything we can to help them to feel safe, to thrive, and to grow.
Research shows that children who feel safe and comfortable in their classroom will learn far better.
Warmer and more inviting classrooms help children's brains relax and feel less stress so they can focus on their learning, supported by social-emotional health breaks to ensure they can continue to be productive. This is especially true for my students who are on a block schedule and have classes that last for almost 2 hours!
All of the items I am asking to fund will go towards building that environment. Comfortable seating, games, and sensory toys are all meant to help students feel relaxed so they can improve their social-emotional health while learning at the same time. Our children deserve it.
