My Students

I work with Transitional Kindergarten through 5th grade English Language Learner students. The students speak many different languages, come from many different countries and backgrounds, and come in at many different levels. They are students who are learning English as a second, or even third language. They have a passion for learning and growing. Enthusiastic, kind, generous, collaborative, compassionate, and curious are just some of the words I would use to describe them. They are truly amazing children with drive and ambition!

My Project

I want to create home learning kits for my English Language Learner students to help improve their literacy skills at home. This year has been a difficult year for all students and teachers. We have been learning some in person, some online, and never know what the next day will bring. These home learning kits will be used to build reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for my students and give them more opportunities to learn at home. The play doh will be used so students can practice building ABC's, sight words, and numbers in a fun and unique way.
