Home Language Books for New Immigrant Students

Help me give my students books about their home country, as well as books in their own languages of Spanish and Farsi.

My Project

I have many students who have recently moved to the USA. They are all learning English, but would enjoy reading more books in their own languages. I'd like to add more Spanish and Farsi books for my students, as well as some books about some of their home countries.

When immigrant students read in their home language, they develop literacy skills that cross over into their English language learning and reading.

I want to keep my kids reading while they master the English language, and thus I'd like to add more and more books to the library. The more students read, the better they get at reading, regardless of the language.
