This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

GES is a K-5 school in North Carolina with students representing over 16 countries world wide. This project is designed for our youngest learners to learn about physical and mental health through literacy and applied practice in the classroom and counseling setting. The books include favorites from the Pigeon series by Mo Willems to address things like hygiene and good sleep habits. Fidget toys and stress balls will be used as students learned how to de-escalate their emotions and express themselves in the school setting. Many of our K students will be entering school for the first time! These stories will help them engage in basic skills little ones learn at school!
