Holiday Surprise: Our Special Books for Mom and Dad!

Help me give my students the materials needed to create holiday books for their parents.

My Project

Our first-grade class is excited to create something truly special for the holidays! Each student will be writing and designing their very own book as a heartfelt gift for their parents. This project will guide the students through the entire writing process—from brainstorming ideas to drafting, revising, and illustrating their stories.

What makes this project so exciting is how unique and creative our students are.

Each child brings their own special ideas, imagination, and artistic style to their book, making every story one-of-a-kind. Their creativity shines through in the way they express their thoughts, share their favorite moments, and illustrate their own artwork, turning each book into a true masterpiece.

Once the writing is complete, we will publish the books by laminating the pages and binding them into a professional-looking book. After the books are bound, students will get to wrap them up as a surprise to take home and share with their parents.

This project not only encourages creativity but also gives students the confidence and pride of creating something personal and meaningful. It's a wonderful way to celebrate the season while building important writing and literacy skills!
