My students have worked very hard this year. I would like to reward them and have my students build their own gingerbread houses out of candy. We will be reading about the gingerbread man and his adventures in December. I have many gingerbread man stories from around the world. We will compare and contrast the different stories. Building gingerbread houses will be a great culmination to our unit. For this project, we need graham crackers, frosting, and a variety of candies like gummy bears, Smarties, Hershey's kisses, and more!
This project will tie in literacy and applied sciences.
My students will be planning, designing, and building their gingerbread house structures. I try my best to bring hands-on STEM experiences to my students. During this special experience, my students will be able to create wonderful memories that they will treasure forever.
Run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man! The sound of that chant from my students brings me joy. I know they will love this project and create memories for years to come. The Scooby Snacks and graham crackers will also be used for snack time for students who do not bring a snack to school. Thank you for your support!
