This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My preK students are fabulous young learners, who come into my classroom everyday with excitement and energy to explore. Everyday I hear stories about students and their families, how they celebrate holidays at home with family.

I want to help students make those home/school connections, by celebrating those familiar holidays with students.

I want to make students feel comfortable at school and show them they can bring their familiar holiday celebrations into the classroom too. I would love for students to do crafts for every holiday, enjoy the fun accessories every holiday and take home a balloon to initiate and help spark conversations from school at home.
