This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a 4th grade teacher at a Title I school in Sun Valley, Nevada, I am looking to engage my students in a novel study through the chapter book, Holes, to further teach them how to independently analyze and summarize a book they have experienced only in excerpts from prior curriculum. My goal is to offer a more expansive ELA lesson plan for student to delve into their developing love of reading beyond the standard curriculum we are provided!

Research has shown flexible seating is an excellent way for students to choose where and how they learn, dependent on what is best for their brain.

I am also looking to provide flexible seating for students who would be more successful outside of their desk during this time.
