My Project

We’re launching a fundraising effort to support C. High School in participating in Red Ribbon Week—the nation’s leading drug prevention campaign. This initiative promotes substance use awareness, prevention, and healthy decision-making among students.

Substance use continues to impact youth across the country.

Schools are essential spaces for early prevention, helping students build resilience, awareness, and strong decision-making skills.

Over 15% of U.S. high school students report having used illicit drugs (CDC). 30% of high school seniors reported vaping nicotine in the past year (Monitoring the Future, 2024). Students who misuse substances are more than twice as likely to experience academic challenges or drop out.

Substance use and mental health are deeply connected, with 1 in 5 teens reporting anxiety or depression alongside use. School-based prevention programs can reduce youth drug use by up to 30% (NIDA).
