My Project

I have the privilege of making music with 500 Kindergarten through 5th grade students each week. Their eagerness to learn in my classroom inspires me to continuously improve myself to be a better teacher because these children deserve the best!

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and ethnicities.

I teach in an urban school district where all my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all of my students feel welcomed and celebrated.

I am asking for some music stands for my classroom. We are preparing to play recorders for the first time since Spring of 2020. The music stands in this project can be converted into floor stands for the students to use in class. Having their music propped up on the floor will help with their posture as they play. The students are very excited to begin learning the recorder! I look forward to being able to give my students the supplies they need to make this unit of study a success! Thank you!
