This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need help holding up their instruments. Although the ukelele is not very heavy, some children need the extra support to concentrate on strumming and fingering.
Performing many songs in a row and practicing for long periods of time during class can become tiring.
Ukelele straps for several sizes will be helpful, especially for the baritone and bass, which are larger and more cumbersome.
Our baritone ukelele is also in need of a padded gig bag for protection when being stored. All of these items will help to support my young musicians.
