Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have a wonderful class, full of eager to learn kindergarten students. I have been teaching in the same school for 19 years, and still enjoy it everyday. My class is eager to learn, I have found they love learning with the use of music. My goal is to trying and introduce them to several different ways to learn. We live in a small farming community and need to update our classroom equipment we have in our classroom, to help them learn and have fun doing it. I know for my self I still remember the song that taught me the all the states.
My Project
At this time we are using music in our class, but we are very outdated. The CDs are scratched or I am digging through like 50 CDs. I have been teaching right and left with the use of the Hokey Pokey song. I teach the students to count to 100 with a Heidi song. We learn the Days of the week with a song.
The list goes on and on, but we need a new MP3 music player and stereo system to help us have fun learning.
I enjoy working with the younger students and making their learning fun, with music we can learn and have fun doing it. Please help us!
