My Students
As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with different challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking forward to helping them become successful readers.
My first graders love to read different types of books!
They love reading independently and in differentiated reading groups. They take pride in their efforts and are willing to read different levels of books. Receiving these books will be very beneficial to our classroom.
My Project
My class is in need of library books that are on their reading levels and to take home to read with their parents. The students will be able to use the books during reading rotations as well as independent reading time.
The different books will help my students enhance their fluency and comprehension skills.
The books will be used to differentiate reading levels in the classroom.
Most students do not have access to books at home. Having more books in the classroom can promote the children's love for reading. The books can also be used independently at home as well as in the classroom.
