Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The student from my school are part of a multi-school community. We are a campus-based school that shares space with five other schools. each school has its own floor but share common space such as the library, weight room and gymnasium. 89% of our students are from homes where there are some financial challenges and social challenges.

School is the safe haven that has a great impact on their day to day experience.

The student are here early and stay late. This allows them to be a captured audience.

My Project

This project will serve to provide much needed safety and training equipment. The helmets will serve as a replacement for the older helmets that we have that no longer serve the purpose that they once did. The batting cage will allow the team to practice their hitting skills indoors while providing a safe way to engage in the aforementioned activity.

We have had to miss many days of actually hitting a ball due to the harsh weather outdoors.

Now we would have a way to practice year round no matter what the weather is like.

The project will have such a great impact whether we win or lose a game.
