Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I love that all my students at my school are different. My class has a mix of ELL and ESL learners. Each student enjoys reading different genres, fiction, and nonfiction. Students in my class engage in various conversations about literature during student share time. They are eager to learn new things and apply those things in the classroom. Students are given new strategies to implement when completing homework and test. Students are also learning how to be more creative when they have to write.

My Project

The tablets will be used during reading so that students can find that perfect book to read. Students won't have to search the bookshelf ever for a book that fits their needs. Students won't ever say someone has the book I was reading nor that there is nothing on this bookcase that is interesting to read. Having technology available in the classroom will allow the freedom to choose exactly what a student wants to read. This generation of students is in tune with technology and the way it works. Therefore students, they become happy students who enjoy reading again.
