My Project

Hello. Thank you for considering donating to my classroom. I am currently working on project ideas that I would like to implement into my 6th grade ELA classroom next school year. This will be my first year teaching this class and I am excited to offer students more learning opportunities!

These books will allow me to offer more biography options for my students to pick from.

With more books to choose from, students will have more options on who to research the person that they think is the most influential person of all time. Through research and public speaking, a winner will be determined at the end of the project!

I am currently teaching special education, so this will be my first year teaching a full general education classroom. I am working on building up my classroom library to allow students more book options. I am also hoping to add more books that show diversity amongst students. Each year, we see an increase in students with different cultural and diverse backgrounds. I would like to make sure that I have books that teach that.

Providing students with more book options will allow me to help spark their love of reading. I am an ambassador for reading in the early middle school years in order to develop those strong reading skills that will help prepare all students for their futures.

Mrs. Hoffmann will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by August 16.
