My students need a map to use as a visual aid of different countries of the world.
This project expired on September 1, 2013.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Have you ever learned about a place but needed a quick reminder of where it is? Well that's what these students in my class need. These students need a quick reference that they all can see and stay focused in class.
These are my world history students.
These students are motivated and hard working. The school that they attend is a visual and performing arts school. Some of the arts at the school include music, drama, drawing, sculpture, circuit arts, and many more.
The school that they attend happens to be in a more rural area. I have learned that some of these students have been born in the area and/or have never traveled beyond the surrounding cities. The world map helps the students make a connection to where they are in relation to the rest of the world. A map, that can easily be pulled down in the front of class, will be able to give these students that connection. This will also save instructional time from being wasted when I have them flip through their book to look closer at a map.
This project will help out both my instructional lessons as well as student learning.
It is a great visual that students will have access too and will also broaden their view of the world.
