History of the World

My students need 6 sets of hands-on landform map kits to explore our world. Also, having access to 20 subscriptions to Time For Kids and other high interest text will increase fluency and comprehension.

My Students

Our world is such a wondrous place. Students benefit from having hands-on opportunities to explore the planet. The requested geography materials will help my students to understand regional culture and determine causal incidents in a historical context.

My Project

My special needs students are primarily mildly cognitively delayed. They come from a variety of backgrounds in the Austin community of Chicago's Westside. This will be my first year at this school, however, I am sure my students will enjoy learning as much as I enjoy teaching. I look forward to sharing with them activities to increase their knowledge of our world.
