This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are creative, artistic, and inquisitive! They enjoy hands-on activities, engaging lessons (especially with technology), research projects, and exploring history through different lens. I teach five classes: two pre-AP classes, two general learning classes, and one inclusion class. No matter what their class may be labeled, all my students come to school each day ready to learn about history and how they can be the change the world needs. Their excitement and determination about history is contagious and inspiring to all!

My Project

With so much changing in the world around us, the requested technology will help my students stay current. Not only would we use the computers and iPads to find primary and secondary sources, but students will learn and look at history from different point of views. We will research to see where history has failed certain groups of people and how to prevent history from reoccurring.

The technology will also let my students reenact major battles and draw conclusions on their “what-if” theories.

My students are striving to be the change needed today and your donation will bring them one step closer to becoming that change.
