My Students
My students are a diverse group of middle school students in an urban district. They are quirky and interesting young ladies and gentlemen. Each with unique learning needs. They come from all backgrounds and many different countries around the world.
The students at my school all receive 100% free breakfast and lunch.
We have a Catie's Closet which provides students in need new clothing and personal items. These kids need a lot of support to get them through the day, but they are worth it!
My Project
My students need access to technology. Despite being digital natives in a digital world, the students in my class need to develop their skills to learn to use technology properly. The students will be able to use the Chromebooks to work collaboratively, develop critical thinking skills and enhance their technological skills for a global economy.
It is important for students to develop technological fluency and a Social Studies class is just the place to do it!
With the addition of these devices in class, students will have more access to historical documents, will be able to conduct research for group projects, and will be able to post group responses to posted questions.
