Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students I work with are primarily Latinx and African American students who have mild to moderate learning and emotional challenges. They are in sixth and seventh grade and want to succeed in middle school Many of them have been excluded from access to all the dynamic fiction and non fiction stories that are presented to typical students. I want to give them access to a world of historical and fiction stories that can broaden their scope of the world and let them see themselves in the stories. Thank you.
