Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are rockstars. After coming back to school after 18 months, over 80% of them are scoring proficient or higher on each unit assessment!

My students live in ward 7 and 8 communities and often receive fewer resources than they should!

My Project

Students will have the opportunity to engage in hands on resources to improve their social studies skills with the digital resources available through Teachers Pay Teachers. These skills will help students to better understand the world around them.

Students will become curators through virtual museum tours and hopefully develop an appreciation for the many components of history.

Too often students believe that history covers boring material - these activities prepared through TPT allow students to better understand how the history that we discuss in class are the major turning points of our world. My classroom hopes to make history come alive for kids.
