My Students
I work in a Title I school district with a diverse group of kids. These students come from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Most love to come to school and strive to learn and improve every day.
These students love to read and explore the world through science.
They are always looking for new things to explore around them or looking for new books to spark their imagination. They are a great class with an amazing sense of adventure.
My Project
Finding time to teach history and social studies can be difficult when it is one of the few untested subjects. These magazines will be a great tool to help my students gain a greater knowledge of American History. They are magazines they can read on their own time, and there is even a little quiz to help me understand if they understand the reading.
Learning about the history of our nation is so important.
Especially now when there is so much turmoil surrounding the history. If our students don't understand it, there is no way for them to change it. I am so excited for my students to get the chance to learn about our history.
