This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with hardworking and earnest High School students who are always ready to dive into historical thinking. This year we are focusing on improving our social science skills by reading color coded graphs and historical documents.

Although we use screens regularly, there is no substitute for physical, color sources that we can hold in our hands and interact with in person.

This color printer in the classroom will provide opportunities for students to grapple with historical thinking and it will help increase engagement. With this tool, I can provide great sources for the kids to study and I will also create truly remarkable in-class activities, such as academic escape rooms, and fascinating scavenger hunts.
