Hispanics, Members of the Great Melting Pot

Help me give my students Hispanic related books, colorful decor, and a cricut, which will help me produce many types of multicultural cut-outs to guide their understanding of how they fit into this great melting pot, America.

My Students

Throughout the school day, I have many inquisitive multicultural students that can range from kindergarten to sophomores in high school. Some of my students' family do an amazing job providing for their child's needs, however, other children miss out on the attention and homelife education that they should be receiving. I was placed in this position to not just teach English vocabulary, but to reach out to all my loveable students with warmness, a listening ear and a multicultural education.

I believe that many of our multicultural students are confused about their role in the United States.

In my classroom, the students are like little sponges! They soak up everything being discussed. I am so thankful that they are so inquisitive and feel safe asking questions for clarification. They are truly a joy! They are loved, and I feel loved in return.

My Project

When my students walk into the classroom they will see the Hispanic culture around the room in the decor and may read the multicultural books that reflect their familiar culture from their homes and from their out-of-country visits to their extended families. These materials will enhance the opportunity to explore and understand diverse cultures.

The students will be able to hold the Cricut cut shapes, research them, decorate them, write their names, and write about them.

The Cricut can cut out all different kinds of shapes including different countries' shapes, unusual animals or crops, and native everyday items that my students find unfamiliar from here or abroad.
