This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of bright, creative, curious, and very active 5-year-olds who are currently learning about the world that surrounds them. They are striving their hardest to learn as much as they can during their first school experience.
Our school is a Title I school with 100% of our students receiving free lunch or reduced-price lunch.
The majority of my students are English language learners and yet at such an early age, they are eager to explore anything and everything that they can get their little hands on. They love hands-on learning.
My Project
We are living in unprecedented times. COVID-19 has changed the way we live, work, do schoolwork, and socialize. I miss seeing the smiley faces of my kindergarteners and hearing the laughter that occurred daily in my classroom. Please help me spread a little joy to my students. I would like to provide each and every one of my students with an at-home learning kit. This kit will provide the essential learning supplies such as; pencils, crayons, glue sticks, construction paper, a ruler, a magic writing board, a draw and write a journal, and best of all word building tiles. Please help me continue the learning at home by providing the materials that we greatly need and assisting me in preparing them for first grade.
