At our school, we firmly believe that all children have the capacity to learn. Through this belief, we, as teachers, constantly find creative and new learning approaches to help our students be successful.
This year, I am working with twenty amazing four-year-old preschool students attending our full-day preschool program.
Although there are many differences in language, culture, and learning needs, my students all have more in common than not. They love to learn, find joy in playing and have families who want to provide the best education for their children.
The love of school and learning should last well beyond preschool. Providing fun, caring, adventurous, exciting, and hands-on experiences in these critical early years will set them off on the right foot to success and continued enjoyment in learning for years to come!
The past year has been fantastic! My students have been so excited to receive items that we have had funded through DonorsChoose to use remotely at home. I can't wait to see the excitement on their faces as they explore new materials that help enhance our learning program. We are always grateful when a project gets funded!
My Project
We love celebrating the 100th day of school!
We have been counting the days all year in anticipation of a fun celebration.
I love to decorate the classroom and set up fun and educational activities for my students to do on that day. We will blow up 100 balloons to scatter around the classroom, hang up the 100 day banner in our doorway to welcome our students that morning, give out 100 day certificates, complete posters with collections of 100 items, take their picture and print using an aging app, etc.
The electric scissors will be helpful in preparing their posters using cardboard. The sensory tubes will be a fun and calming addition to our sensory place in the classroom.
