Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My position at elementary allows me to work alongside all grade levels. This collaboration expands from more than just working with students, but also supporting teachers and teacher assistants.

To ensure academic success, my goal is to create a positive school culture that enables every student to reach their full potential.

The materials listed below serve the purpose of celebrating students and meeting our students' basic needs. Much like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, here we recognize that a positive school climate or culture can result in academic success.

The LEGO, play-doh, and MagnaTiles listed in the project will be used to celebrate our students of the month. We want to provide STEM or building toys to our students that are recognized for their hard work and positive behavior. The snacks listed will be used across all grade levels. Lastly, the cardstock and laminating pouches will be used for our Student of the Month display wall. This is a wall where we celebrate our students who have been recognized by their teacher or students who have perfect attendance. In the end, we are celebrating student's social and emotional learning with STEM materials.
