Highly Specialized Training Part II

My Students

My students range from age 3 through 5th grade. Because I am a Speech Pathologist, I see students with a variety of speech language needs such as language, articulation, fluency, and voice.

My job is very meaningful because communication skills are the single best predictor of school success.

Many of my students have delayed or impaired oral motor skills that inhibit their ability to communicate verbally, so it is my job to provide specialized intervention in order that my students can communicate.

My Project

This project will cover the cost of registration so I can attend Part II of a training series that will show me how to remediate complex articulation disorders such as apraxia which results in children being unintelligible. This training will also help me fine tune my articulation therapy of all of my students. This three-day conference will provide me with invaluable information that I will be able to use with my current students and many more to come.

I will get in depth training that few Speech Pathologists have during the conference, so that my students can make faster, more effective progress, and be able to communicate their ideas.

This course is the 2nd course of a multi-course training whereby I will eventually get certification in a specialty area as well.
