This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every single day, students come into my library asking for certain books and educational games because they love reading them and learning to play them so much. By helping us create a collection of these engaging texts and activities, you will help foster a passion for checking out and devouring high-interest books that build literacy.
Our school is nearly 100% low-income, and 98% Black and Latino.
We are working diligently on improving reading skills, fluency, and test scores, and stocking our new library with books that students are clamoring for is an essential step. Thank you in advance for helping us support this goal.
