This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have nineteen bilingual students who love singing, dancing, and learning about their world. Most of my students qualify for free lunch while a few qualify for reduced-price lunch. While all my students speak Spanish as their native language, they come to me with unique backgrounds and experiences. My students deserve access to the best possible learning experience and that is what I am advocating.
My students are inquisitive and eager to absorb new knowledge.
They learn from each other as much as I learn from them in the short nine months we have together.
My Project
Throughout the school year students will use many supplies. We can use white boards to quickly show what we've learned, colored pencils when we are learning about maps, and sticky notes to show make a chart of what we are thinking. All of these supplies are not on our school supply list for parents to purchase but we would definitely use them to enhance our learning.
Your donation will bring colorful markers and colored pencils for us to use during map making, whiteboards and erasers to show our thinking, and storage boxes to house all our supplies.
