This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In science, highlighting and finding the most important parts of an essay are crucial to understanding and researching. In my classroom, I have learners of all different levels. I find it extremely helpful to constantly use highlighters to help students pick out the most important information in a passage so that they can then go back to re-read just those highlighted parts and understand the big idea of the passage!
However, students are not all able to access or obtain highlighters.
With this project I am hoping to allow all my students this access that will further their understanding of science readings and their education as a whole! As well, this project will help the entire 7th grade. The 7th grade team of teachers here works very closely together so extra supplies will be dispersed throughout each classroom!
