My Project

The students in our high school theatre department are able to enroll in two tracks for their professional development - Acting and/or Stage Craft. In the Acting track, students learn the basics of theatre and advance toward harnessing their performance skills and developing their voice. In the Stage Craft track, students learn professional skill sets in constructions, carpentry, lighting, costuming, and sound design.

- Drills, saws, and bits are for our Stage Craft students to measure, cut, and construct our sets while learning and building the practical skills for the work force in technical theatre and construction.

- The iPad is for our Marketing and Graphic Design students to create materials to advertise projects and productions.

- The card reader is to allow for our patrons and community members to be able to pay for tickets, make donations, and continue sponsorships on a more accessible platform.

- The headphones are for our sensory sensitive students who still want to enjoy and participate in Acting and Stage Craft classes but would otherwise be deterred from working due to loud noises.

Theatre is a long-standing escape for many students, but particularly for our students at this high school. It is a safe space for students to embrace what makes them different while also expanding their knowledge and skill sets in being better, more critical, and supportive human beings. By supporting them, you are raising up the next generation of hearts and minds that will change the world.
