High School Students Prepare for Medical Careers While Learning History
My students need transportation from Northern New Jersey to Philadelphia to visit a medical museum with historical significance. This entry is part of an essay submitted by a student, leading to class recognition.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful young people who are hard working and dedicated to making the most of their educations. I have been greatly blessed to be in a district where I've been able to use my M.S. in biology to convert a high school class into a dual enrollment college class, where students earn 4 credits from Bergen Community College.
The challenge for the students is converting themselves from high school students into college students while still in high school.
They work tirelessly, study diligently and make me proud daily. They are very much a credit to their community and families.
I was shocked recently to learn that a wonderful young lady (MM) had nominated me for a teaching award, leading to the set up of this account; while I am flattered and supremely grateful for her kind words, I am most pleased to have received a funding opportunity to improve my students' educations.
My Project
Students will not only attend the world famous Mutter Museum, they will also have an opportunity to learn why Philadelphia is such a magnificent city in which to learn American history.
The Mutter Museum intrigues students, Independence Hall causes a reverential consideration of our nation's two founding documents.
In one day, my students will significantly expand their world view.
My students have already made the decision to overcome all the challenges of taking a course taught at a college level and pace; they can now enjoy a year end, intellectually stimulating, treat. They are wonderful young people who will truly value the experience.
