This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Three 10th grade health academy English classes will be putting on a second annual self-care fair this spring to teach their peers practical techniques and tools to lower stress and improve mental health. Our community school was featured in the news last year as the first high school in San Diego to respond to the growing mental health needs of students after the Covid shutdown and the fair was so successful that we plan to do a second fair this year.

The supplies will help the students lead their demonstrations.
