This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a high school teacher it is often not the class students look forward to each day, but each year I get 180 opportunities to make students change their mind about their math struggles. I want to offer a fun and engaging learning experience while providing students with alternate sitting chairs. These traditional school desks and chairs are not comfortable, I want them to feel comfortable in this classroom. Comfortable enough to share their thoughts, knowledge and math struggles. Comfortable enough to feel free to share their misunderstandings and their concerns. But most importantly comfortable enough to really share with their peers. Math is not easy, definitely not easy when taking Statistics or AP statistics but I want to offer the absolute best learning environment for each and every student.
