My Project

One common challenge for secondary level language arts teachers is providing students with texts at their independent and/or instructional level. Without access to books and texts around them, students will not have the opportunities to practice and develop their reading skills.

The older a student is, the trickier it becomes to provide access to books that they can read - high school students do not want to read "babyish" books!

Graphic novels to the rescue! After much research, I have compiled a list of graphic novels that are written at a lower (below third grade) level, but are of interest to older students.
