Help me give my students high-interest, hands-on materials such as dry erase markers and reading folders that engage them in reading!

In my classroom, all students are Star Scholars. They are loved unconditionally. Scholars are provided a safe space to take risks, be vulnerable, and develop a sense of childhood curiosity and wonder.
They are thirsty for knowledge, eager to please, and desperately want to be better at "school".
We have worked so very hard to cultivate a strong culture of learning that I can honestly say that their drive for success is inspirational. They have endless energy and enormous hearts!
My Scholars are innocent, kindred spirits who deserve so much more than what our society has given them. For many of my students, their future relies solely on their experiences in our school. Regardless of the unthinkable barriers that my Scholars experience outside of our four walls, they know that my belief in them never wavers.
We all know how cruddy it feels to struggle with something new. As a young student, this feeling can be deflating. Often times struggling readers develop avoidance mechanisms when it comes to text. As adults, we know that practice makes perfect. As a teacher, it is my duty to motivate my struggling readers to read!
These intervention reading folders will help me to engage my struggling readers in age-appropriate texts that will peak their interests and allow us to have hands-on experiences with the text.
They will be excited by the topics and will experience success with the support of this resource. This success will boost their confidence in such a valuable way!
Additionally, my students LOVE using dry erase markers. We often use this resource when playing learning games in class and they associate the markers with fun. This is an interactive way to put students in their drivers seat of their learning. Your donation will provided replacement markers for the ones that have dried and/or ran out of ink this year.
