My Project

Research shows that children who read for fun perform better on cognitive tests and have better mental health as adolescents. Fifth grade is the last year before middle school and is an important time in a kid's life.

My students love to read and need access to high-quality, high-interest chapter books.

This project will provide the Mark Twain Award Nominee books from the last two years as well as a highly recommended series. These new chapter books will freshen up my classroom library and help me foster a love of reading with my students.
