Help me give my students high interest books that will lead to higher interests in reading!

My Students
The students in my classroom come from a neighborhood in Brooklyn, NY. They're eagerly figuring and learning about themselves as a community member in our class and school, and as an individual in this world.
They are a group of eager learners and readers, and share a strong love towards books.
They love to discuss complex topics, debate from different perspectives, and also build empathy through discussions and readings. Each student brings their own unique experience and knowledge into the classroom that further helps our classroom community to grow a better understanding of each other and the world.
My Project
All students love reading. As teachers, it is our job to help guide them and find books that they love.
Once students find one book they love, it leads them to discover other books that they love.
In order to create this snowball effect so students can become stronger readers, we need to provide students with books that portray strong protagonists that resonate with our fourth graders.
For many years, the students in our class have learned to develop a strong love in reading. We would like to replenish some of the books that found permanent homes with past students, and include new books with protagonists that reflects our community.
More than half of students from low‑income households
