High Frequency Words Help Kindergarten Readers

Help me give my students exposure to high frequency words in and out of context to make them part of each scholars reading vocabulary.

My Students

My students are eager Kinderfriends with better than average attendance in this virtual world. Many of my students did not attend a preschool program, but they are willing to try new things. Our school is located in an urban center and all of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. My class consists of a large group of Kindergartners, including some students with disabilities, students who are English language learners, and some of gifted and talent population.

We are readers to be leaders and great computers!

As the year moves along, I am amazed at how my students love to learn and my families are completely engaged in their educational journey.

My Project

These materials will aid the Kindergarten scholars with high frequency word recognition and automaticity needed for oral reading fluency. The sturdy sight word cards and journals will assist in the home school connection, while providing engaging and age appropriate activities for small group instruction and personalized learning.

Several families have expressed the desire to help accelerate learning for their scholars.

These tools will guide families in supporting their scholars with needed high frequency word practice that will prepare these lifelong learners by polishing their reading skills for reading success in and out of the classroom.
