This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Most of my students refuse to eat the school lunch. They claim, they do not like the way it taste. Instead, they will go through the entire day without eating. This project will make a difference in my students lives as I will be able to give them a calming, sugary treat, that will energize them as they go through their day.
My goal for this project is to provide comfort and warmth to my students.
I know its not much, but if my students are going the entire day without eating, this will indeed make a difference.
In addition, I usually provide a few of my students with basic personal items, to ensure they shine in their classes and are not negatively talked about by their peers. These items are a bit of a treat, my students usually look forward to receiving.
My students are amazing and special because they like to hang with me during their lunch, and just talk about issues they are having, or social issues, or they help me organize my room or they just sit quietly with me, just to be away from the crowed cafeteria.
