High Demand: Graphic Novels and Plays!

Help me give my students different reading materials. Graphic novels like The Baby Sitters Club and Zombie Goldfish are in high demand, and they are always checked out of the media center.

My Students

My students are progress oriented. Each child sets multiple goals on a regular basis and they work hard to meet their individual goals.

In my classroom, we celebrate and encourage taking risks and thinking critically.

For each student, their goal is different and they use different means to achieve their goal. At any time, you could come into my classroom and my students will be able to tell you their goal and what they are doing to achieve it.

These kids are special to me.

My Project

I always tell my students that if you read, you can do anything. Sometimes getting my students to find books they like can be difficult.

My students love to read graphic novels.

However, these books are expensive and often checked out of the media center. By supporting my classroom, you are helping me get materials that will set the love of reading on fire for many of my students.

My students will also get to improve their fluency skills by reading and acting out plays that match our Social Studies standards. I know that my students will enjoy and love these materials for years to come.
