Help me give my students the materials they need in their AVID binders (pencil pouches, dividers, highlighters, etc.). AVID is a K-12 program designed to assist students in developing career-ready skills. My students' interest in science creates great discussions.
My students are polite and greet me every morning in the hallway. They are respectful and enjoy telling me about what they did over the weekend. Most of them aspire to be someone who will make a difference for their family or are already doing so. To help my students reach their future goals, I know they will need to master the skills of their education.
As students, they will be practicing habits to make them successful in preparing for their job interests.
Items like pencil pouches, dividers, highlighters, graph paper, and sticky notes will help them organize their thinking in different subject areas. This project will provide supplies needed for students to see the importance of ownership and responsibility.
Every teacher will call their students special, but mine are uniquely special because they have qualities that are going to impact their community and even the nation due to their caring hearts.
