Hey, That's My Book!

Help me give my students a cozy and individualized reading center. Each student needs an organizer to hold books that are at their reading level and fun reading tools!

My Students

As an IB school, we strive to develop not only strong academics but also strong social and communication skills! As teachers we are here to guide and foster learning through inquiry. I am a teacher at a truly diverse school.

We are a Title I school.

The population of the school consists of 70% students of color, 70% of the students receiving free or reduced price lunch, and 40% English Language Learners. Many of the students speak English as their second or third language.

My Project

Right now we are struggling to keep personal book picks in one place and find them each day during reading time. A book bin for each child will make a world of difference.

These bins will allow each student to hold their own personal selection of just right books in one place.

Students will be able to keep their personal book choices safe, easy to find and organized.

The line highlighters are to help my little ones track each line and not get lost in the text, and the whisper phones provide auditory feedback to each student as they read to themselves. The pocket charts and shoe holder are to be used as activity holders within our reading center.
