My Project

Year round in the tropics is wonderful--except in an un-air conditioned classroom. We need to keep the air circulating to cool our classroom as, even in the fall and winter months, it's very warm, even hot some days. Recently, some of our old fans have succumbed to heat exhaustion, i.e. daily use over 6 years. Due to the configuration of the room, we have a limited cross breeze, and what does blow in through the bank of louvered windows has been warmed by the sizable courtyard paved with black asphalt just outside the door. Because of safety concerns, I keep my door shut at all times which also cuts down on the airflow.

We need these powerful and quiet fans to make the classroom more inhabitable and a better learning environment.
